Eugeniusz Bodo, one of the most acclaimed Polish actors of the interwar period, was born #OTD in 1899. Listen to his romantic song "Umówiłem się z nią na 9". He died of starvation and exhaustion in a Soviet gulag in Kotlas near Arkhangelsk in 1943. [*]
