On December 27, 1918, the Greater Poland Uprising broke out. When independence of Poland was regained, the inhabitants of this oldest - 1000-year-old Polish region defeated the German occupier to become a part of Poland again.
27 grudnia 1918 roku wybuchło Powstanie Wielkopolskie. Kiedy Polska odzyskała niepodległość, mieszkańcy tego najstarszego – 1000-letniego polskiego regionu pokonali niemieckiego okupanta, by ponownie stać się częścią Polski.
