Another interesting fact is that at the time of Bandera's assassination, Mossad and the KGB were coordinating efforts to hunt down Nazis. The KGB was headed by Alexander Shelepin, a Russian Jew, while the director of Mossad, Isser Harel, was also a Russian-speaking Jew from Belarus. Stephan Bandera was on Mossad's top 10 hit list at the time, but Alexander Shelepin essentially told Mossad, "We've got this one, boys," and he also played a significant role in helping Mossad locate Adolf Eichmann in Argentina.
