On April 17, 1356, King of Poland, Casimir the Great founded the city of Lwów-Lviv in the place of the stronghold of the Ruthenian dukes Daniel and Lew, and earlier the tribe of Lendians. It became one of the greatest cities of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland.
17 kwietnia 1356 roku król Polski Kazimierz Wielki założył miasto Lwów-Lwów na miejscu grodu książąt ruskich Daniela i Lwa, a wcześniej plemienia Lendian. Stało się jednym z największych miast Korony Królestwa Polskiego.
