The Polish language was introduced into print by Kasper Elyan ("natione Polonus" from Głogów and Polkowice), the first Polish printer, in Wrocław in 1475. These were the prayers - Our Father, Hail Mary and I believe in God - Ojcze nasz, Zdrowaś Maryjo, Wierzę w Boga.
